Sketch released in April assault
FORT COLLINS - Police are hoping the release of a composite sketch will help them find a man who assaulted another man outside the main gate of Woodward Governor.
It happened on April 29. A 33-year-old man was assaulted by the man while leaving work at about 3:20 a.m.
Fort Collins Police say the suspect had been yelling at a woman in a car parked outside of Woodward's secure area, when he got out and started walking down the street. The victim stopped his car, and the suspect attacked him, pulling him from his vehicle and slamming him into the ground.
The suspect took off before officers arrived.
The victim has described his assailant as a white male in his 20s, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet two inches tall, weighing 185 to 200 pounds with short brown hair.
Two women are believed to have seen the assault. One of the women is described as in her twenties, approximately 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a dark complexion, weighing approximately 140 to 150 pounds with shoulder length brown curly hair. The other is a white female, approximately 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall with blond hair. Police would like to talk to both of these witnesses who were last seen leaving the area in a dark colored four-door foreign vehicle, possibly a Honda or Nissan.
Woodward has partnered with Crime Stoppers of Larimer County to offer a reward of $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the assailant.
